Sensor, Differential Pressure: Description
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2017 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The Exhaust Differential Pressure Sensor (2) is remotely mounted on the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF)/Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC). Two pressure tubes (3) measure pressure before and after the DPF/DOC. The sensor is critical for fail-safe of regeneration strategy, because it interprets high pressure drops as possible high soot loads.
