Diagnostic Test

Check For Active DTC
1. Turn The Ignition Off.
2. Verify All Chassis Grounds Are Properly Connected. Perform The Checking Ecm Powers And Grounds Diagnostic Procedure. Refer To Checking The PCM Power And Grounds .
3. Turn Ignition On, Engine Not Running.
4. With The Scan Tool, Read DTCS.
  Is P0606 Active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace And Program The Powertrain Control Module In Accordance With The Service Information. Refer To MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL . .
  No
  - Go To 2
Check For Stored DTC
1. With The Scan Tool, Read DTCS.
  Is P0606 Stored?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Perform The INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Refer To INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
Powertrain Control Module
1. With The Scan Tool, Read The Fault Frequency In The Frequency Counter.
  Does P0606 Read 3 Or More (Times Set)?
  
  Yes
  - Replace And Program The Powertrain Control Module In Accordance With The Service Information. Refer To MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL . .
  No
  - Perform The INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Refer To INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
