Diagnostic Test

- Check The Engine Oil Pressure (Eop) Switch
- Turn The Ignition Off.
- Disconnect The Engine Oil Pressure (Eop) Switch Harness Connector.NOTE:
Check Connectors - Clean/Repair As Necessary.
- Measure The Resistance Between The Eop (G6) Signal Circuit Terminal And Ground At The Engine Oil Pressure Switch.
Is The Resistance Below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Replace The Engine Oil Pressure Switch In Accordance With The Service Information.
- Perform The POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer To POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- Check The Eop (G6) Signal Circuit Open/High Resistance
- Disconnect The C1 PCM Harness Connector.NOTE:
Check Connectors - Clean/Repair As Necessary.
- Measure The Resistance Of The (G6) Eop Signal Circuit Between The Engine Oil Pressure Switch Harness Connector And The PCM C1 Harness Connector.
Is The Resistance Below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Repair The (G6) Eop Signal Circuit For An Open Or High Resistance.
- Perform The POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer To POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
- Disconnect The C1 PCM Harness Connector.
- Powertrain Control Module
- Reconnect The C1 PCM Harness Connector.
- Engine Oil Pressure Switch Still Disconnected.
- Turn The Ignition On.
- Measure The Voltage Between Ground And The (G6) Eop Signal Circuit At The Engine Oil Pressure Switch Harness Connector.
Is The Voltage Equal To Battery Voltage (Within 1.0 Volt)?
Yes
- Perform The INTERMITTENT CONDITION Diagnostic Procedure. Refer To INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
No
- Replace The Powertrain Control Module In Accordance With The Service Information.
- Perform The POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer To POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
