Module, Compass: Installation: Installation

  1. Position the Remote Compass Module (RCM) (2) in the console.
  2. Install the four fasteners (5) that secure the RCM to the overhead console (1).
  3. Install the overhead console assembly. Refer to CONSOLE, OVERHEAD, FRONT, INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Perform the Compass Variance Adjustment. Refer to COMPASS VARIANCE ADJUSTMENT .
  6. Perform the Manual Compass Calibration. Refer to MANUAL COMPASS CALIBRATION .
  7. Verify proper compass operation.
