Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR BCM CAN BUS DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  Are any BCM CAN bus DTCs?
  
  Yes
  - Repair BCM CAN bus DTCs. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 2500 HD & 3500 HD .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK FOR BCM DTCS
1. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.
  NOTE:
  If you find any of these BCM codes set along with the U-1449 (B23B6-13, B23B6-1C, B23B6-2A), diagnose and repair the BCM codes before continuing with this diagnostic.
  
  NOTE:
  Customers resting their hand on the shifter while operating the vehicle, can cause this code to set.
  
  Are any BCM DTCs set?
  
  Yes
  - Repair BCM DTCs. Refer to BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) - DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX - 2500 HD & 3500 HD .
  - Perform the appropriate TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 66RFE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
  No
  - Using the schematics as a guide, check the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector and all related in-line connector terminals for corrosion, damage, or pushed out terminals. Pay particular attention to the power and ground circuits. If no problems are found, replace the PCM and perform programming procedures. Refer to MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, REMOVAL or MODULE, POWERTRAIN CONTROL, 6.7L DIESEL, REMOVAL .
  - Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to 66RFE TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .
