2500 - 3500 Heavy Duty

Remove the rear bumper. Refer to BUMPER, REAR, REMOVAL .
Remove the hitch bolts (1).

Separate the truck bed (1) as necessary and lift off of the frame enough to allow removal of the hitch. Refer to BOX, PICKUP, REMOVAL .

Support the hitch with a suitable lifting device.
Lift hitch locator pin (1) out of the hole (4) in the frame and slide back to release the front tab (2) from the frame hole (3).

Remove the hitch (2).
