Lever, Gearshift: Removal: Assembly

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the upper and lower column shrouds. Refer to SHROUD, STEERING COLUMN, REMOVAL .

  3. Disconnect the gearshift harness connector (5).
  4. Disconnect the shift cable (3) from the gearshift lever assembly (2).
  5. Remove the gearshift lever assembly mounting screws (4).
  6. Remove the gearshift lever assembly.
