- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Using a thin wire type tool, locate and press the release while pulling up on the shifter knob (3).
- Remove the shifter knob (3) and retaining ring (2).
- Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the shifter bezel (1) and the floor console to release the snap retainers that secure the bezel.Do not pull with excessive force or fully remove at this time.
- Disconnect the shifter bezel wiring harness and remove the shifter bezel (1).

- Remove the two screws (3) securing the storage bin (1) to the front console.
- Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, gently pry between the storage bin (1) and the floor console side close out panel to release the two snap retainers that secure the storage bin (1) to the front console and close out panel.
- Disconnect the 12V power outlet wiring harness from the rear of the storage bin (1).
- Disconnect the LED/Lamp wiring harness (2) from the rear of the storage bin (1) and remove the storage bin from the I/P.
