Diagnostic Test

NOTE:
If the scan tool shows this DTC has a Stored history of setting then the left front impact sensor is to be replaced.
VERIFY ACTIVE DTC
NOTE:
Make sure the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition ON.
- With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Does the scan tool display active B0090-49-LEFT FRONTAL RESTRAINTS SENSOR - INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE DTC or did the DTC set the Stored history setting?
Yes
WARNING:Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- Replace the Left Front Impact Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, IMPACT, REMOVAL .
- Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
No (Did not set a active or stored DTC B0090-49- LEFT FRONTAL SENSOR - INTERNAL ELECTRONIC FAILURE)
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
