Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR OTHER DTCS
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Are there any other DTCs related to Fuel Pressure?
Yes
- Perform the diagnostics for those DTCs before proceeding with this one.
No
- Go To 2
- CHECK FOR ACTIVE DTC
- With the scan tool, record all Freeze frame data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- With scan tool, verify that the fuel level is above 15%. If not, add fuel.
- Start the engine and allow it to run until the coolant temperature is above 140 degrees F.NOTE:
It is important that the conditions in Steps 3 and 4 are met for the test to function properly.
- Test drive the vehicle at 50 mph and perform a zero fueling event (decel condition for 10 seconds, with foot off accelerator pedal). Repeat 10-12 times.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did DTC P026B reset?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- CHECK THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM
- Refer to CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM
and perform the CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM diagnostic procedure.
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repairs are complete.
- Perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure. Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- Refer to CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM
and perform the CHECKING THE FUEL DELIVERY SYSTEM diagnostic procedure.
