The Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Sensor is integrated into Temperature/Manifold Absolute Pressure (TMAP) Sensor. The TMAP Sensor circuit is compared to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor circuit by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). If the TMAP Sensor value is above the calibrated threshold for a calibrated amount of time, the PCM determines the Charge Air Cooler is inefficient.
