The PM Sensor will be in measurement mode after a successful regeneration event of the PM Sensor Probe measuring electrodes. A regeneration event will occur when the Exhaust Gas Temperature Sensor 1/5 (SCR Catalyst Outlet) reading goes above 200°C (392°F), and there are no other PM Sensor related DTCs. The ambient air temperature must also be above -6.7°C (-20°F). A steady state drive cycle will run this diagnostic.
The MIL will illuminate.
