Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC

NOTE:

Make sure the battery is fully charged.
If the scan tool shows this DTC has a Stored history of setting then the impact/pressure sensor is to be replaced.

Turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.
Does the scan tool display an active DTC or show a setting history in stored?

WARNING:
Turn the ignition off, disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
- Replace the Impact/Pressure Sensor in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to SENSOR, IMPACT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the RESTRAINT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS-SYSTEM-VERIFICATION-TEST .
- Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS-SYSTEM-INTERMITTENT-TEST .
