Removal And Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 RAM 3500 HD and 2019 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the instrument panel right console closeout.

  4. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent, remove the instrument panel mid panel (1).

  5. Remove the wire harness connector (1) from the antenna.
  6. Remove the two antenna to instrument panel screws (2), and remove the antenna.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Position the antenna onto the instrument panel.
  2. Install and securely tighten the two antenna to instrument panel screws.
  3. Connect the antenna wire harness connector.
  4. Install the instrument panel mid panel.
  5. Install the instrument panel right console closeout.
  6. Install the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  7. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
