Removal And Installation

REMOVAL
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the right front tire and wheel.
- Remove the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove the NOx sensor 1/1. Refer to SENSOR, NOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

- Remove the bolt (3) securing the transmission oil cooler line bracket.
- Remove the bolts (1) securing the exhaust isolator (2) to the transmission.
- Remove the exhaust band clamp (1) and separate the exhaust pipe.
- Remove and discard the gasket (1).
- Remove the exhaust band clamp (2) and the exhaust outlet connector (1).
INSTALLATION
- Clean the gasket sealing surfaces.
- Using a NEW
gasket and a NEW
exhaust band clamp, install the exhaust outlet connector (1) and tighten the band clamp (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install a NEW
gasket (1) to the exhaust outlet connector.
- Using a NEW
exhaust band clamp (1), install the exhaust pipe and tighten the band clamp (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the exhaust isolator (2) to the transmission and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the transmission oil cooler line bracket and tighten the bolt (3) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the NOx sensor 1/1. Refer to SENSOR, NOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front tire and wheel.
- Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
