Diagnostic Test

  1. ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS) MODULE 
    NOTE:

    Diagnose and repair any Powertrain Control Module VIN or Communication DTC's before continuing with this test.

    NOTE:

    If C2202-Original VIN Mismatch / Missing is set along with this DTC, perform the diagnostic procedure for C2202 before continuing with this test.

    1. Ignition on, engine not running.
    2. Using the scan tool, erase DTC's.
    3. Turn ignition off to the lock position.
    4. Ignition on, engine not running.
    5. Using the scan tool, select View DTC's.

      Is the status Active for this DTC?

      Yes 

      • Check vehicle configuration in TIPM. Refer to TIPM information for procedure. If configuration incorrect, fix and reinitialize ABS module. Refer to TIPM - DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING .
      • Perform the ABS VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to ABS VERIFICATION TEST .

      No 

      • Use the scan tool to read DTC's in all other modules. If any communication DTC's are present, perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure. Perform any Technical Service Bulletins that apply. If no problems are found, test is complete.
