Headlamp Delay

HEADLAMP DELAY

If the low beam headlamps are active at the end of a drive cycle, headlamp delay is entered by turning the ignition OFF and then turning the headlamp switch to OFF. The headlamp switch will need to be turned off within 45 seconds of turning the ignition to OFF to activate the headlamp delay feature.
Headlamp delay will be entered automatically when the ignition is turned OFF, the headlamps are ON and the headlamp switch is in the AUTO position. If the low beams are active due to HOWW, the headlamp delay feature will not be activated when the ignition it turned OFF.
Headlamp delay is cancelled if:
- the headlamp switch is cycled from OFF to park lamps or low beam and then back to OFF
- the headlamp switch is cycled from AUTO to low beam, then back to either OFF or AUTO
