Removal And Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 RAM 3500 HD and 2019 RAM 2500 HD. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the IP mid panel (1).

  4. Using a trim stick or equivalent, remove the three push retainers (1) and remove the lower IP closeout.

  5. Remove the four glove box screws (1).

  6. Release the glove box from the retaining clips and disconnect the wire harness connector (1) while removing the glove box from the IP.

INSTALLATION

  1. Connect the wire harness connector (1) while positioning the glove box to the IP fully seating retaining clips.

  2. Install the mounting screws (1) and tighten securely.
  3. Install the instrument panel center bezel. Refer to BEZEL, INSTRUMENT PANEL, CENTER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Install the lower IP closeout.
  5. Install the IP mid panel.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
