Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .

  3. Disconnect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
  4. Disconnect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).

  5. Disconnect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).

  6. Disconnect crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).

  7. Disconnect both fuel injector harness connectors (1).
  8. Position the engine harness to the side to allow clear access to the fuel rail noise cover.

  9. Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).

  10. Remove the CCV oil drains hose (1, 2) from cylinder head cover.

  11. Remove the fuel rail noise silencer (1).

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the fuel rail noise silencer (1).

  2. Install the CCV oil drains hoses (1, 2) to cylinder head

  3. Connect the fuel pressure sensor wire harness connector (1).
  4. Position the engine harness in original location.

  5. Connect both fuel injector wire harness connectors (1).

  6. Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 1 wire harness connector (7).

  7. Connect the crankcase pressure sensor 2 wire harness connector (1).

  8. Connect the EGR cooler bypass valve wire harness connector (1).
  9. Connect the exhaust pressure sensor wire harness connector (2).
  10. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION, 6.7L .
  11. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
