HVAC Verification Test

Perform the following procedures to verify that the repair(s) are valid.
- Make sure that all accessories are turned off.
- Make sure that the battery is fully charged.
- Turn the ignition off to the lock position.
- Disconnect all jumper wires and reconnect all previously disconnected components and connectors.
- With the scan tool, record and erase all DTC's from ALL modules.
- Turn the ignition off, remove the scan tool from the DLC (Data Link Connector). Open the door and close the door. Wait a minimum 30 seconds, then turn the ignition on. Reconnect the scan tool.NOTE:
Disconnecting the scan tool and opening and closing the door will allow the controller to enter into sleep mode.
- With the scan tool perform the HVAC Actuator Calibration Test.
- Start and run the engine for two minutes while operating all functions of the system that caused the original concern.
- With the scan tool, check for DTC's in all modules.
Is the original condition still present or are there any other HVAC DTC's present?
Yes
- Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Repair is complete.
