Lamp, License Plate: Removal: Bulb

NOTE:
This procedure is for vehicles with a pick-up bed only. On cab and chassis vehicles the license plate lamp is integral to the left rear lamp unit. The park/brake/turn signal bulb within the left rear lamp unit provides illumination for the license plate lamp function on all cab and chassis vehicles.
- Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
- Reach under the rear bumper near the center to access the back of either of the two license plate lamp housings (3).
- Firmly grasp the socket (2) on the back of the housing and rotate it counterclockwise about 30 degrees to unlock it.
- Pull the socket and bulb (1) straight out from the keyed opening in the housing.
- Pull the base of the bulb straight out of the socket.
