Diagnostic Test

ACTIVE DTC
1. Ignition on, engine not running.
2. With the scan too, select View PCM DTCs.
  Is the DTC Active at this time?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 2.
  No
  - Refer to INTERMITTENT CONDITION and perform the INTERMITTENT CONDITION diagnostic procedure.
U1040-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) ALSO ACTIVE
1. With the scan too, select View DTCs.
  Is the U1040-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH BODY CONTROL MODULE (BCM) also set?
  
  Yes
  - Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING and perform the U1040-00-Lost Communication with Body Control Module (BCM) diagnostic procedure.
  - Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST and perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
  No
  - Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, Powertrain Control , Removal .
  - Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST and perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
