Diagnostic Test

- ACTIVE DTC NOTE:
Diagnose all CAN communication DTCs before continuing.
- Ignition on, engine not running.
- With a scan tool, view DTCs.
Is the status Active for this DTC?
Yes
- Go To 2.
No
- Refer to Diagnosis and Testing and perform the Stored Lost Communication DTCs diagnostic procedure.
- COMMUNICATION DTCS PRESENT IN THE TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE
- With a scan tool check for DTCs in the Transfer Case Control Module / AWD.
Are there any CAN bus DTCs active in the Transfer Case Control Module at this time?
Yes
- Refer to U0102-00-LOST COMMUNICATION WITH TRANSFER CASE CONTROL MODULE/AWD and perform the U0102-Lost Communication with Transfer Case Control Module / AWD diagnostic procedure.
No
- Replace and program the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, Powertrain Control , Removal .
- Refer to POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST and perform the POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST.
- With a scan tool check for DTCs in the Transfer Case Control Module / AWD.
