Gearshift Mechanism - Removal

REMOVAL










1. Pull up on gearshift knob (1) with moderate force to remove from gearshift mechanism.










2. Remove shifter boot/bezel assembly (1) from console by lifting up at mounting ring area.










3. Remove the center console assembly (1). Remove rear power window switch (if equipped) and disconnect harness from console.










4. Remove crossover cable retaining clip (4) and disconnect from shift lever.










5. Remove selector cable retaining clip (2) and disconnect from shift lever.










6. Remove four shifter assy. (1) to floor pan nuts and remove shifter from vehicle.
