Clutch Slave Cylinder - Installation

1.6/2.4L MODELS (Except Diesel and Turbo)










1. Connect slave cylinder to hydraulic tube. Press both retainer clips (1) to secure tube in cylinder.










2. On 1.6L only, Install the slave cylinder assembly (1) into position on transaxle and tighten bolts (2) to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).










3. On 2.0L/2.4L only, Install the slave cylinder assembly (1)into position on transaxle and tighten bolts to 19 Nm (168 in. lbs.).

4. Lower vehicle.
5. Verify brake master cylinder reservoir is full. Top off with DOT 3 brake fluid if necessary.
6. Bleed clutch hydraulic system Service and Repair.
7. Verify proper clutch release system operation.
