Valve Body - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: To ease installation of the valve body, turn the manual valve lever fully clockwise.










1. Install overdrive (1)and underdrive (2) accumulators and springs.










2. Guide park rod rollers (1) into guide bracket (2) while installing valve body to the transaxle case.










3. Install the valve body-to-case bolts (1)and torque to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).










4. Install the oil filter (1). Inspect the o-ring (2) for damage and replace as necessary.










5. Install an 1/8' bead of RTV (2)and install pan (1) to case.










6. Install oil pan bolts (1) and torque to 19 Nm (165 in. lbs.) torque.
7. Lower vehicle.










8. Install manual valve lever (2) to manual shaft.
9. Install gearshift cable (1) to manual valve lever.





10. Install the battery tray (1).










11. Install the battery (1) and hold down clamp.










12. Install air cleaner assembly (1).
13. Connect battery cables.
14. Fill transaxle with fluid. Refer to SERVICE PROCEDURES for proper fluid fill procedure.
