Mode Door Cable - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: LHD model shown in illustrations. RHD model similar.






NOTE: Illustration shown with instrument panel removed for clarity.

1. Position the mode control cable (4) to the right side of the HVAC air distribution housing (3).
2. Connect the mode control cable to the mode door lever (2).
3. Install the screw (1) that secures the mode control cable to the air distribution housing. Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).

4. Engage the top of the mode door linkage cover (4) to the right side of the air distribution housing (1).
5. Install the screw (3) that secures the mode door linkage cover and the right floor distribution duct (2) to the air distribution housing. Tighten the screw to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.).





6. Reach through the glove box opening and engage the two retainers (3) that secure the instrument panel wire harness (2) to the instrument panel support (1).
7. Install the glove box Instrument Panel Glove Box - Installation.
8. Install the passenger side instrument panel silencer Silencer Panel - Installation.
9. Connect the mode control cable to the A/C-heater control A/C and Heater Control - Installation.
10. Install the center bezel onto the instrument panel Instrument Panel Bezel - Installation.
11. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
