Engine Oil Pump - Removal

REMOVAL

It is necessary to remove the oil pump body to service the oil pump rotors.

The oil pump pressure relief valve can be serviced by removing the oil pan. Oil Pressure Relief Valve - Removal

1. Drain the cooling system. Service and Repair
2. Remove the timing belt. Timing Belt & Sprockets - Removal.
3. Remove the crankshaft sprocket. Timing Belt & Sprockets - Removal
4. Remove the oil pan. Engine Oil Pan - Removal
5. Remove the oil pickup tube.
6. Remove the oil pump fasteners. Remove pump and gasket from engine.
