Tonneau Control Motor - Removal

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Put decklid in the service position, Procedures.
3. Disconnect the tonneau control motor (4) electrical connector (1).
4. Remove the motor retaining nuts (3).





5. Remove the tonneau control cable routing clips (2) from the decklid.





6. Using two pocket screwdrivers or similar flat bladed tools, disconnect the right and left control cables from the screw drive assemblies (5). Push screwdrivers into release slots (4) in the screw drive assembly and press inward against cable sleeve. This will release the retaining tabs (1) on the cables allowing them to be pulled out of the screw drive assemblies (5).
7. Remove the motor and cable assembly from the vehicle.
