Water Leak Strategy
CAUTION:
Avoid high-pressure washes, as they can damage the top material. Also, increased water pressure may force water past the weatherstrips.
- Identify where the water is entering the vehicle and what environmental conditions/driving conditions they occur at.
- Dry off all areas and tape (1) off the vehicle, as shown, except where the water is entering (2) and retest to confirm entry.
- Based on where the water is entering and confirmed, diagnose the problem. See Body/Convertible Top - Diagnosis and Testing .
- Retest after adjustment or part replacement. If not dry go to 2. If dry continue to 5.
- Remove all tape from the convertible top and test for leaks. Repeat 1 if not dry.
