Fore/Aft Adjustment-Front Door

  1. Raise the windows to the full up position and close the doors with top fully closed.
  2. Inspect for failed gaps in the window and weatherstrips.
  3. If adjustment of the front door window is required, remove the front door trim panel. See Body/Door - Front/PANEL, Door Trim - Removal .
  4. Remove the four access plug covers on the door module to gain access to the adjustment screws.
  5. Loosen the front glass attachment fastener (1).

  6. Loosen the rear glass attachment fastener (2) until the glass will move. Do not over loosen, the glass should move with some effort.
  7. Adjust the glass by sliding it forward or backward, as required.
  8. Tighten the glass attachment fasteners to 8 Nm (71 in. lbs.).
  9. Verify adjustment. Repeat steps 5-7 if more adjustment is required.
  10. Install the four access plug covers.
  11. Install the front door trim panel. See Body/Door - Front/PANEL, Door Trim - Installation .
