Water Leak - Zone B

  1. Middle rail weatherstrip (4) not installed correctly.
    1. Adjust the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Adjustments .
    2. Replace the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Removal .
    3. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  2. Mid panel (2) weatherstrip not installed correctly.
    1. Firmly seat the weatherstrip into place.
    2. Faulty mid panel weatherstrip, replace the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Removal .
    3. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  3. Mid panel weatherstrip (1) delaminated (2).
    1. Faulty mid panel weatherstrip. Replace the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Removal .
    2. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  4. Mid panel weatherstrip (1) attachment screws (2) missing or installed incorrectly.
    1. Install the missing or incorrect screws to the mid panel weatherstrip.
    2. Faulty mid panel weatherstrip, replace the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Removal .
    3. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  5. Foam (2) short or not attached to mid panel weatherstrip (1).
    1. Faulty foam, replace the foam on the mid panel weatherstrip.
    2. Faulty mid panel weatherstrip. Replace the weatherstrip. See Body/Weatherstrip/Seals/WEATHERSTRIP, Convertible Top - Removal .
    3. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  6. Riv-nuts (1) not installed correctly.
    1. If the riv-nut is loose, find a screw (3) that threads into riv-nut.
    2. Place a nut (2) on the screw and then put a washer (5) on and screw into the riv-nut.
    3. Install the riv-nut into the mid panel (4) hole.
    4. Using wrench hold screw end and drive nut toward panel, this will flare the riv-nut.
    5. Remove screw/nut/washer and verify no movement of riv-nut to panel.
    6. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  7. Drain tubes (3) not installed correctly.
    1. Adjust the routing of the drain tubes.
    2. Faulty drain tubes, replace the drain tubes.
    3. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .

  8. Door and quarter glass not adjusted properly.
    1. Adjust door glass. See Body - Adjustments .
    2. Retest for water leaks. See Body/Convertible Top - Standard Procedure .
