Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, record and erase DTCs.
    3. Try to operate the Power Windows up and down several times.
    4. Wait 30 seconds.
    5. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display B18BB-WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT LOW?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM)

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Totally Integrated Power Module C7 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (F981) Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit in the TIPM C7 connector.

      Is the resistance below 10.0 Ohms?

      No 

      Yes 

      • Go to step  3
  3. POWER WINDOW SWITCH SHORTED

    1. Disconnect the Power Window Switch connector.
    2. Measure the resistance between ground and the (F981) Fused Ignition Switch Output circuit in the Window Switch connector.

      Is the resistance below 10.0 Ohms?

      Yes 

      No
