Drain cooling system. See Cooling - Standard Procedure .
Remove timing belt. Refer to Engine/Valve Timing/BELT and SPROCKETS, Timing - Removal .
Remove camshaft sprockets and rear timing belt cover. Refer to Engine/Valve Timing/COVER(S), Engine Timing - Removal .
Remove screws attaching water pump to engine. Remove pump (2). See Fig 1.
