Thermostat Housing

- Clean all gasket sealing surfaces.
- Install thermostat. See Cooling/Engine/THERMOSTAT - Installation
- Install gasket and housing (1). Tighten bolts (4) to 28 N.m (20 ft. lbs.).
- Turbocharger equipped vehicles:
- Connect A/C suction line to A/C compressor. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing/LINE, A/C Suction - Installation
- Charge the refrigerant system. Refer to Heating and Air Conditioning/Plumbing - Standard Procedure
- Connect heater supply hose (3).
- Connect engine coolant temperature sensor (2).
- Fill cooling system. See Cooling - Standard Procedure
- Connect negative battery cable.
