Hose, Power Steering, Supply: Removal: 2.4L

NOTE: Before proceeding. See Steering - Warning .
  1. Siphon as much fluid as possible from the power steering fluid reservoir.

  2. Remove the grille (1) from the front of the vehicle. Refer to Body/Exterior/GRILLE - Removal
  3. Remove the hood-opening weatherstrip from across the radiator closure panel.

  4. Remove the fastener (1), then the ambient temperature sensor (2) from the radiator closure panel.

  5. Remove the fasteners (1) securing the upper radiator closure panel in place, then remove the panel.

    2 - POWER STEERING PUMP
  6. Remove the clamp (1) securing the supply hose to the power steering pump (2) supply fitting, then remove the hose from the supply fitting.

  7. Remove the hose clamp securing the supply hose (3) to the power steering fluid reservoir (1). Slide the hose off the end of the reservoir fitting and remove from vehicle.
