ASSEMBLY, Transmission Solenoid and Pressure Switch: Removal: Removal

1 - AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY
  1. Disconnect the battery cables.
  2. Remove air cleaner assembly (2) .

  3. Remove the battery hold down clamp and remove the battery (1) .

  4. Remove the battery tray (1) .

    1 - INPUT (TURBINE) SPEED SENSOR
  5. Disconnect and remove the input speed sensor (1) .
  6. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines. Cap off hoses and fittings to prevent foreign matter intrusion.
  7. Disconnect the solenoid/pressure switch assembly connector.

  8. Remove the three solenoid/pressure switch assembly-to-transaxle case bolts (1) .

    2 - GASKET
  9. Remove solenoid/pressure switch assembly (1) and gasket (2) .
    CAUTION: Be sure to keep foreign material from entering ports in transaxle case. Erratic transaxle operation and/or failure can result.
