Disc, Clutch: Removal: 1.6L

Follow practices prescribed by appropriate regulations for the handling, processing and disposing of dust and debris
  1. Remove transaxle. Refer to REMOVAL
  2. Mark position of pressure plate on flywheel (1) with paint or a scriber for assembly reference. See Fig 1.
  3. Loosen and remove six pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts (4). Remove pressure plate (3) and clutch disc (2).

  4. Remove eight flywheel-to-crankshaft bolts (2) and remove flywheel (1). See Fig 2.

  5. Inspect release lever (2) and bearing (1). See Fig 3. Replace as necessary. See Clutch/BEARING, Clutch Release - Removal .
