PAN, Oil: Installation: Installation

NOTE: Oil pan sealing surfaces must be free of grease or oil.

NOTE: Parts must be assembled within 10 minutes of applying RTV.

Apply Mopar® Engine RTV GEN II at the front cover to engine block parting lines (1).

Apply a 2 mm bead of Mopar® Engine RTV GEN II around the oil pan as shown in Fig 2.
Position oil pan and install bolts. Tighten bolts to 12 N.m (105 in. lbs.).
NOTE: The 2 long bolts must be tightened to 22 N.m (195 in.lbs.).

Install oil drain plug (2).
Lower vehicle and fill engine crankcase with proper oil to correct level.
Start engine and check for leaks.
