Brake Fluid Level Checking
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Dodge Caliber. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE:
Brake fluid level should be checked a minimum of twice a year.
Master cylinder reservoirs (2) are marked, FULL and ADD, indicating the allowable brake fluid level range in the master cylinder fluid reservoir.
CAUTION:
Use only Mopar® Brake Fluid DOT 3 Motor Vehicle or equivalent from a tightly sealed container. Do not use petroleum-based fluid because seal damage in the brake system will result. See Brakes/Hydraulic/Mechanical/FLUID - Specifications
NOTE:
Although there is a range, the preferred level is FULL.
- Remove the cap (1).
- Adjust the brake fluid level to the FULL mark listed on the side of the master cylinder fluid reservoir (2) as necessary. Do not overfill the system.
- Install the cap (1).
