Diagnostic Test

  1. DTC IS ACTIVE 
    NOTE: This DTC is set when the APP Sensor values are learned in-plant but do not reach the minimum or maximum voltage range.
    NOTE: Diagnose any APPS out of range and 5-Volt supply DTCs before continuing.
    1. Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating temperature.
      WARNING: When the engine is operating, do not stand in direct line with the fan. Do not put your hands near the pulleys, belts or fan. Do not wear loose clothing. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
    2. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.

      Is the status Active for this DTC?

      Yes 

      • Go to step  2

      No 

  2. ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSOR 
    1. With a scan tool perform the ETC RELEARN function.
    2. With the scan tool, clear DTCs.
    3. Start the engine.
    4. With the scan tool, select View DTCs.

      Is the status Active for this DTC?

      Yes 

      No 

      • Test complete.
