SWITCH, Oil Pressure: Removal: Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Quick Reference/Hoisting - Standard Procedure .
  3. Remove the splash shield from the right side frame rail. Refer to Body/Exterior/SHIELD, Splash - Removal .
  4. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Cooling/Accessory Drive/BELT, Serpentine - Removal .
  5. Remove the three bolts (2) and reposition the A/C compressor (1).

  6. Disconnect the oil pressure switch electrical connector.
  7. Remove the oil pressure switch using oil pressure socket C-4597 (1) or equivalent.
