Section 43 (2.4L Engine (Service Information)): Installation: SRT4

  1. Position powertrain dolly under body.
  2. Lower body on to powertrain assembly.

  3. Install right mount retaining bolts (1).

  4. Install left mount to transaxle bolts (2).

  5. Install air inlet from turbo charger.
  6. Connect CKP sensor (2).
  7. Install lower bell housing bolts.
  8. Install front engine mount bracket.

  9. Install fore/aft member (1).
  10. Rear mount through bolt.
  11. Install exhaust pipe from catalytic converter.
  12. Connect downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.

  13. Install crankshaft damper bolt and tighten bolt to 210 N.m (155 ft. lbs.) using damper holder 9707.
  14. Install axle shafts.
  15. Install tires.
  16. Raise vehicle.

  17. Connect power steering return to reservoir (2).
  18. Install lower radiator hose from oil cooler.
  19. Connect A/C, generator, starter, knock sensor, oil pressure sensor electrical connectors.

  20. Install intake manifold. See Engine/Manifolds/MANIFOLD, Intake - Installation .

  21. Connect power steering line to pump (1).

  22. Connect PCV hose (5).
  23. Connect oil control solenoids, oxygen sensor, MAP, ETC, flow control valve, oil temperature sensor, injectors (4) , cam sensors, coils (1), capacitor, and coolant temperature sensor electrical connectors and reposition harness.
  24. Connect fuel line (3).

  25. Install engine oil level indicator.
  26. Install harness retainer (2) from intake manifold.
  27. Install throttle body support (1).

  28. Install power steering line support (1).
  29. Install ground cable to bell housing.
  30. Install vacuum lines to intake manifold.

  31. Install ground strap from cylinder head (1).

  32. Install A/C lines to compressor (1).

  33. Install coolant reservoir (3).
  34. Install cooling module.

  35. Install vacuum lines to turbo charger (1).
  36. Connect air inlet temp sensor and boost pressure sensor electrical connectors.
  37. Connect solenoid electrical connectors (2).
  38. Remove coolant after run pump from cowl.
  39. Connect coolant after run pump electrical connector.
  40. Remove heater hoses from coolant adapter.

  41. Connect reverse light connector (2) on transaxle.

  42. Connect hydraulic clutch line (3).

  43. Connect shift linkage (1).
  44. Install PCM and PCM bracket.
  45. Install lower radiator hose from radiator and coolant adapter.
  46. Install upper radiator hose.
  47. Install core support.
  48. Install radiator closeout panel.
  49. Install inter cooler inlet hose.

  50. Install battery tray
  51. Install air cleaner housing.

  52. Install battery (2).
  53. Connect cables to battery (2).

  54. Install air inlet (2).
  55. Start engine and check for leaks.
