CONVERTER, Catalytic: Removal: SRT4

1 - UPSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR
2 - CATALYTIC CONVERTER
3 - DOWNSTREAM OXYGEN SENSOR
4 - TURBOCHARGER HEAT SHIELD
  1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support vehicle.
  3. Remove under floor catalytic converter. See Exhaust System/CONVERTER, Catalytic - Removal .
  4. Disconnect upstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
  5. Remove upstream oxygen sensor (1).
  6. Disconnect downstream oxygen sensor electrical connector.
  7. Remove downstream oxygen sensor (3).
  8. Remove turbocharger heat shield (4)

    1 - BOLT
    2 - SUPPORT BRACKET
  9. Remove catalytic converter support bracket bolts (1) and nuts.
  10. If damaged, remove support bracket (2).

    1 - MOUNTING NUTS
    2 - CATALYTIC CONVERTER
  11. Remove catalytic converter to turbocharger mounting nuts.
  12. Remove catalytic converter.
