Base Panel

  1. Remove the instrument panel top cover. See Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Instrument Panel - Removal .
  2. Remove the left and right end caps. See Body/Instrument Panel/CAP, Instrument Panel End - Removal .
  3. Remove the shifter bezel and housing. See Body/Interior/BEZEL, Shifter - Removal .
  4. Remove the center bezel. See Body/Instrument Panel/BEZEL, Instrument Panel - Removal 
  5. Remove steering column opening cover. See Body/Instrument Panel/COVER, Steering Column Opening - Removal .
  6. Remove upper panel. See Body/Instrument Panel/PAD, Instrument Panel - Removal 
  7. Remove the instrument cluster. Refer to Electrical/Instrument Cluster - Removal .
  8. Remove the radio. Refer to Electrical/Audio and Video/RADIO - Removal
  9. Remove the glove box door. See Body/Instrument Panel/GLOVE BOX, Instrument Panel - Removal .
  10. Remove knee blocker. Refer to Restraints/AIR BAG, Knee Blocker - Removal .
  11. Remove 25 IP base panel retaining screws from structure and remove the base panel.
