Primary Thermostat - Turbocharged Engines

  1. Partially drain the cooling system. See Cooling - Standard Procedure 
  2. Remove the air filter housing. Refer to Engine/Air Intake System/BODY, Air Cleaner - Removal
  3. Disconnect coolant hose (1) from thermostat housing (2).
  4. Remove thermostat housing mounting bolts (4) and remove thermostat.
  5. Clean the mounting surfaces.
