Tandem Pump Pressure Test

- Remove fuel pressure test port cap (2).
- Install fuel pressure adapter 9938 (1).
- Connect a 13.8 bar (200 psi) fuel pressure gauge (2).
- Start engine and run at 4,000 RPM, monitor fuel pressure.
- If the minimum specification of 10.5 bar (152 psi) is reached the tandem pump is ok.
- If the minimum specification was not obtained, clamp off the return line between the tandem pump and the fuel filter.
- If the minimum specification is obtained, replace the unit injector O-rings.
- Remove the fuel pressure gauge (2) and fuel pressure adapter 9938 (1).
- Install fuel pressure test port cap (2).
