MOTOR, Headlamp Leveling, Export: Removal: Removal

Remove Front Lamp Unit. See Electrical/Lamps/Lighting - Exterior/UNIT, Front Lamp - Removal .

Disconnect the headlamp leveling motor (2) electrical connector (1).

Remove the one screw (3) retaining the horizontal adjustment assembly (2) to allow the motor to swing far enough to remove.
Rotate leveling motor 1/4 turn counter-clockwise. This will free leveling motor housing from the headlamp unit (1).
Pull leveling motor straight from headlamp unit (1). Significant force will be required to unsnap motor control arm from lens reflector.
NOTE: The headlamp leveling motor control arm is snapped into the lens reflector mechanism very securely. Use a firm, steady pull to disengage motor arm from reflector.
Remove leveling motor from front lamp unit.
