Upper Intake Manifold: Non-Turbo

- Disconnect inlet air temperature sensor and make-up air hose (1) from clean air hose.

- Remove air cleaner housing (1) and clean air hose assembly.
- Disconnect negative cable from battery.

- Remove throttle and speed control cables from throttle lever and bracket.

- Disconnect manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor (1).

- Disconnect idle air control (IAC) motor (1) and throttle position sensor (TPS) (3) wiring connectors.

- Disconnect proportional purge hoses (1).

- Disconnect brake booster hose.
- Disconnect PCV hose from intake manifold.

- Remove rear intake manifold support bracket (1).
- Remove upper intake manifold fasteners.
- Remove upper intake manifold.

- If further service is required, cover the lower intake manifold openings to prevent foreign materials from entering the engine.
