Diagnostic Test
- TEST RADIO
- With the scan tool, record the DTCs.
- Erase the DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off.
- Turn the ignition on and the radio in Satellite mode.
- With the scan tool, erase the DTCs again.
- Put the satellite radio in seek up mode for two loops around the band cycle.
- With the scan tool, read the active DTCs.
Does the scan display: B1430-Satellite Radio Antenna Internal Performance as Active?
Yes
- Replace the Satellite Radio in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure .
No
- Test complete, the condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the SYSTEM WIRING DIAGRAMS as a guide check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and poor fit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to DTC-Based Diagnostics/MODULE, Totally Integrated Power (TIPM) - Standard Procedure .
